Monique Togara is a singer-songwriter who quickly captured industry attention following
her 2025 first releases with Indie management & label Finesse Foreva. Blending R&B, Afro, and
house, her sound is defined by raw emotional honesty and seamless genre fusion. In her debut
year, she secured major festival stages and performances at events such as The Great Escape
and Cloud X Black Is Beautiful, while opening for artists including Jamilah Barry.
Supported by key tastemakers, her music has been played across national & community radio
stations including BBC Radio 1Xtra, Capital, Kiss DJ Ace & with interviews at Reprezent. After
just three releases, she was invited to perform a BBC Live Lounge representing Sussex &
Surrey, and by her fourth, she earned Spotify editorial playlist support from RNB UK on her 2025
& 2026 releases Calling & Miss Me. In Q1 2026 she was selected by BBC 1xtra for International
Women's Day as a step-up artist. In Q2 2026 she was selected by BBC 1xtra again for Track of
the week with ‘Miss Me’ with support from Fee Mak, Joelah Noble, The Johnson, Kaylee
Golding, Remi Burgz and more.
With the success so far, she has also been booked to play at GuilFest on July 5th 2026 on the main
stage with headliners that include The Proclaimers and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Her songwriting draws from real-life experiences, exploring self-discovery, spirituality, emotional
healing, and the complexities of love. Balancing vulnerability with quiet strength, Monique is
emerging as a distinctive and compelling voice in UK music.
