Main Stage

In recent years Staines and the surrounding areas of north Surrey, has given birth to some great bands such as ‘Hard-Fi’ and ‘You Me at Six’ to name but two. Once again this unlikely musical hot bed has produced another outstanding band in ‘8th Time Luckie’.

‘8th Time Luckie’ describe their style as pop punk, drawing their influences from bands like Fallout Boy, Paramore and early Blink 182. Their sound ranges from high energy, fast and heavy to slow and soft, merging catchy melodies and interesting lyrics to form a unique sound, within the genre of punkrock.

"...it's nigh-on impossible to resist tapping your foot to 'Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right (But They Make Us Even)' or 'Living Ain't Living (Unless You're Dying)'." Devolution issue 20

Their second EP featuring ‘Living Ain’t Living (Unless You're Dying)’, ‘Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Right (But They Make Us Even)’ and ‘Goodbye’ has been widely acclaimed by fans and promoters, generating a healthy following and plenty of interest from promoters on London’s live music scene.

"This demo certainly suggests that '8th Time Luckie' have enough of an ear for a tune to bag a record deal..." Devolution issue 20

Originally formed in 2005 the current line-up got together in July 2008 and is surely destined for great things...they are:

James Palmer – Guitar and Vocals Anthony Norman – Drums Robert Murton – Guitar and backing vocals Jordan Altria – Bass
