This is my plan of action, unless something else comes along. Anyone planning to be at any of these:

14th to 16th May 2010 – Bearded Theory Festival, Derbyshire. Guaranteed Tornado-Free this year! Dodgy, Wonder Stuff, The King Blues, Men They Couldn’t Hang, Leatherat, True Deceivers, Dreadzone, New Model Army, Dr. And the Medics, Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs, Goldblade, Neville Staple (Specials), Pama International (Specials), New York Alcoholic Anxiety Attack and......The Cheeky Girls. http://www.beardedtheory.co.uk for more info – one of the most friendly festivals around, and really good value money-wise. You’ll find me on the forum as Zero The Hero, if you want to find out what it’s all about.

4th to 6th June 2010 – Glastonwick, Shoreham. Music, Beer and Cider Festival. John Otway, Pressgang, Inner Terrestials, Tracey Curtis, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Milk Kan, Gecko, Luke Wright, Wob, Robb Johnson & The Irregulars, Andy Baron & Concrete Johnson, Steve Gribbin, Rory Ellis, Meow Meows, Michael Horovitz, Pog, Red Smed & The Hot Trot, Smash The System Boogie Band, Eastfield, Verbal Warning, Steve White & The Protest Family, all hosted by Attila the Stockbroker. http://www.myspace.com/glastonwick

16th to 18th July 2010 – GuilFest, Stoke Park Guilford. Details very sketchy at this point, Headliners are The Human League, Orbital and Status Quo. Not much more to say at this stage.

24th and 25th July 2010 – High Voltage, Victoria Park, East London. A bit special this! ZZ Topp, Asia, Emerson lake and Palmer, Heaven and Hell (That’s Toni Iommi, Geezer, Ronnie James Dio and Vinney Appice), Marillion, Uriah Heep, Focus, Bachman Turner (but, alas no Overdrive!), MT Wishbone Ash, Pendragon, Foreigner, Gary Moore, Steve Hackett, Quireboys and UFO, plus loads of others. Quite expensive, but you don’t get a line up like that cheaply! Details at http://www.highvoltagefestival.com

5th to 8th August 2010 – Wickham Festival, Hampshire. A bit folky, and is a direct replacement for the Stokes Bay Festival. Line up includes: Eliza Carthy, Shooglenifty, Chris Wood, Steve Tilston, Martyn Joseph, The Men They Couldn’t Hang, The Levellers, The Peatbog Faeries, The Undertones, Show of Hands and 3 Daft Monkeys, Details at http://www.wickhamfestival.co.uk/whos-on-when, I’m Zero the Hero on the forum (which has only just been set up and is therefore a bit dead – please feel free to come along and liven it up.

20th to 22nd August 2010 – Rhythm Festival, Twinwood Arena, Bedford. Run by the much respected Jim Driver. This will be our fourth year at this one. Line-up currently includes 10CC, Billy Bragg, Arlo Guthrie, The Damned, Roger Chapman and the Shortlist, The Men They Couldn’t Hang (busy band this year!), Adrian Edmonson and the Bad Shepherds, Leatherat, Stackridge, Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Wreckless Eric. Many more still to be announced, Details at http://www.rhythmfestival.net/index.html I’m Zero the Hero again.

3rd to 5th September 2010 – Weyfest, Farnham, Surrey. Great little festival located at The Rural Life Centre. Confirmed artists include: Seth Lakeman, Focus, The Christians, Curved Air, Zombies, MT Wishbone Ash, Karnataka, Adrian Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Mungo Jerry, Neck (Pogues offshoot band), Leatherat, Ric Sanders, Tiny Tin Lady, True Deceivers, Stevie - One Bloke One Mandolin. Details at http://www.weyfest.co.uk/

I will be attending GuilFest this year. I will be staying in the campsite behind the main stage. I also hope to be holding open clinics during the festival. You should be able to find me due to me flying The White Rose Of Yorkshire. Please dont be shy and make yourself known to Auntie Judeth (illlogickill please keep your distance unless you have been treated by your gp!!!!)

Vincesue the bearded festival looks pretty decent.

I expect it will only be a day or two day visit to GuilFest this year and then one or two indivisual gigs - not festivals - much as I'd like to check out Reading again.

Remember now, we have to fit the world cup in!

Its looking unlikely that I'll be doing any fests this year, which will feel weird. Probably go along to one of the Eden sessions and a few gigs at the (tiny) St Ives music fest.

Will definitely return to GuilFest next year.
