Plantation Zone 2012

The Plantation Zone is Guilfest’s official under 18 zone designed for young people to come and hang out and get involved. From Pool tables and games consoles to Open Mic and Club nights. 2012 is set to be the biggest yet for plantation and we have more than ever on offer for the young people of Guilfest.

This year will feature young aspiring singer song writers, multiple DJ’s and the Finalists of the Guildford Youth Council; Battle Of The Bands. During the day we will have a variety of workshops to get involved with from Street Dance to Drums and Percussion as well as a chill out café and gaming corner.

ABOUT PLANTATION CAFÉ

Plantation is a youth venue in the centre of Guildford, Surrey. Part of Guildford YMCA. We provide support, encouragement, advice when requested, a place to be, numerous hands on projects and some practical employment for young people aged 13-25. The Plantation Zone at Guilfest is a taster of everything that we do at Plantation!

We are surprised and saddened to hear that Guildford Borough Council has agreed to let Live Nation host a music event on Stoke Park this summer. We'd hoped after discussions at the end of last year between Guildford Borough Council and ourselves, there may have been the possibility for us to put on another "GuilFest mark 2" in the
