This Thursday October 10th will see Guildford Borough Council’s Full Council Meeting discuss the petition put before them to help facilitate the reinstatement of Guilfest. The meeting will commence at 7pm prompt within the Council Chambers at the Council’s offices located at Millmead House, Millead, Guildford , GU2 4BB with discussion on the petition to bring back Guilfest itemised on the agenda as being early into proceedings.
We are aware that already a number of people have indicated they will be attending the meeting and equally that some have registered to speak before the Council. We also understand that due to likely numbers attending, the Council have very kindly agreed to look into providing further accommodation at their offices with a video feed link in order that those who may not be able to fit into the Chambers can be accommodated and still see and hear the proceedings.
As mentioned previously, if you are planning on coming to the meeting it would be very much appreciated if you could provide indication on our Facebook event invitation linked to this post. Equally to remind you, please also remember that there may still be the opportunity for any of you who may wish to speak at the meeting to do so. You must however first email the Committee Clerk, Mr J Armnstrong (firstname.lastname@example.org) to establish if such is possible (advance notification that such is possible is required in advance of the meeting).
Finally don’t forget that if you haven’t done so already, you can also still register your desire to see the reinstatement of Guilfest in 2014, by visiting our “38 Degrees Website” link http://you.38degrees.org.uk/p/bringbackguilfest
For those of you that can’t be there, we’ll update you further on the outcome following on from the meeting.
Thank you for your continued support.
