The SON’s songs are the brain child of Sav Campbell; front man, rhythm guitarist and main song writer for the band.
Accompanied by John Spearman on lead guitar, Baz Foster on bass guitar, Phil Gerbi on drums and Nikki Robins on backing vocals, The SON are currently booking gigs and tearing up local venues, steadily building their fan base.
The band have recently been in and out of the studio recording their debut album 'Life on the Hill' (title to be confirmed), under the wing of producer Joshua Macrae (Queen, Pulp, Taylor Hawkins, The Foo Fighters, Procol Harem, Nelson Mandela's 46664 event featuring Dave Stewart, Ms Dynamite, Bono, The Edge, Zucchero, Anastacia, Andrew Bonsu, Soweto Gospel Choir, Beyoncé & many more).
With influences including the Beatles, Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Nirvana, The SON have a unique sound that you can't quite put your finger on. Their style is a blend of the old and the new, the soft and the heavy. If you like rock that's got balls but sweet floating melodies drifting alongside - this is where you belong.
