Quiet Engines are a six piece band based in the South of England who formed in January 2010 after Neil's inspired eBay purchase, a battered harmonium.
The advert warned that it "may not work properly" but luckily, with the help of a stick, it works brilliantly. Its bizarre tone inspired the first batch of songs and the band, Quiet Engines, was formed.
The Quiet Engines are Neil Gurney on vocals and harmonium, Celia Barrett on vocals and guitar, Kate Sharples on flugelhorn, Gareth Hughes on bass, Tom Prince on guitar and Nick Harradence on Drums and percussion. Their songs are original, beautifully melodic and thought provoking.
It's a BIG, wonderful sound! Come and check them out.
