GuilFest 2011 - Lineup

Returning from 2010's critically acclaimed 'Sex W/ Strangers' E.P (4K's Kerrang!, 8/10 Rock Sound etc),

Exit_International are preparing to unleash their debut full length in Summer 2011.

Genre-wise, Exit_International are probably best described as rabid disco-punk. Imagine combining the demonic temperaments of The Cramps and The Birthday Party, the sound spectrum of Girls Against Boys and the nerve-splitting volatility of eccentric post-hardcore of The Blood Brothers and you're getting close. Add to that a talent for picking tempo and groove as well as an instinctive lyrical flair. But whilst Exit_International cite their sources of inspiration openly, it will certainly not be long before their name appears as a definitive point of influence for many bands to come.

Following a busy 12 month which saw the band jump from initial promise foretold in Alternative Press (U.S.) and Rock Sound (U.K.) - both tipping the band as an act to watch 2010, to appearing at a coveted early-evening slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading / Leeds Festival. Sessions recorded and broadcast on BBC Radio 1 Introducing (Including the now infamous cover of Nirvana's 'Territorial Pissings') and regular alternative radio station airplay and press coverage.

Tours with Monster Magnet and Blitz Kids saw the UK exposed to the Carnage of an E_I live performance, bolstered by support slots with Pulled Apart By Horses, Gay For Johnny Depp, Future Of The Left, The Bronx, etc. The Locust's Justin Pearson stepped in to remix 'Sex w/ Strangers' for a future release, and Ginger (The Wildhearts) frequently expresses his love for the band.

The 13-track LP sees the band take it's duel-bass fronted noise-rock to the limit.
