Hosted in the Surrey Advertiser tent every night after the bands, the brilliant Farmer Giles Barn Dance is an incredibly popular hidden gem on the GuilFest site, and could be described as the ultimate barn dance experience. Led by a caller, and featuring special performances from live Ceilidh band, MoonDance, the experience is a fantastic opportunity for anyone, regardless of age or ability to have a great time dancing the night away to traditional ceilidh and country music.
So get on down to the Surrey Advertiser tent from 11pm till 1am on Friday and Saturday and 10pm til 12am Sunday for Farmer Giles Barn Dance at GuilFest 2010.
MoonDance provide a truly unique Celidh experience. Imagine the accessibility of traditional dance music, combined with the power of rock and funk music. Unlike many ‘electric' barn dance bands, the MoonDance sound is more than just an acoustic folk band grafted onto a pub-rock rhythm section. The music has been developed as a true fusion of the best of traditional and modern dance rhythms.
