Guildford is an historic town in the heart of Surrey. It has a mix of old and new architecture, and somehow manages to maintain the ancient character of its Saxon origins. Guildford is definitely one of the most picturesque towns in the South of England. Famed for its steep cobbled High Street, old buildings and being surrounded by beautiful countryside. The stunning castle grounds look down at the River Wey as it weaves its way through the centre of the town which helped Lewis Carroll pen his Alice In Wonderland tales.

This is what makes GuilFest so special when compared to many other festivals.
One of Guildford's best kept secrets resides right next door to Stoke Park, Guildford Lido. A huge (50m!) outdoor swimming pool set in beautiful parkland with showers, changing facilities, a kiosk serving hot and cold food, and even a crazy golf course! There is a small entry charge, but this is really worth a visit- nothing like a refreshing swim in the middle of a hot day in July to make your festival experience complete!
