Kid Creole and the Coconuts
A packed crowd gathered towards the main stage on saturday afternoon to watch a suave and smooth Kid Creole and his coconuts. He was backed up by his big band which got the crowd geared up for 45mins of soul, funk and salsa. When kid creole finaly graced the stage in his colourful zoot suit he was greeted with a raptous applause from the crowd. They played a continuous set of their classic songs which blended seamlessly from one to the next cultivating into the big finish which included the bands favourite hits "Stool Pigeon" and "Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy".
The coconuts strutted their stuff shaking their hips up-and-down and side-to-side. With 2 costume changes they gave Kid Creole a run for his money for spotlight on the stage.
Kid Creole and the coconuts provided a memerable performance that many people watching will not forget anytime soon.
