Biography

Over the past few years Subgiant have become very
popular on the live club and festival scene. Their
unique live show combines electronic and real
instruments in an exciting way, producing a tightly
executed and powerful sound.

 

Live Highlights

Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1) has personally invited the band to perform at Bestival three years in a row. They have played twice at Glastonbury including a set on the infamous West Dance Stage. The band have enjoyed Main Stage appearances at Beautiful Days Festival, Bestival, Glade Festival, Vale Earth Fair, Blissfields Festival, The Big Green Gathering, Endorse-it in-Dorset and Eastern Haze. Subgiant have headlined other stages at Wychwood Festival, Solfest, Larmertree Festival, Earthwise and Nozstock with many more festival appearances along the way. It’s not just festivals either, recently they have performed to sell out audiences at the Operahouse in Bournemouth, the brand new Coalition venue in Brighton, The Brook in Southampton, The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, Exeter Pheonix Arts Centre, various Carling Academies and many clubs in London including Scala, Brixton Jamm, Ginglik, Hidden, Whirl-y-Gig and Planet Angel.

Discography

The band have released three albums. 'Advances in Twig Technology' , 'Global Control' and 2009 will see the release of their new album ‘This’. Subgiant don’t fall under a single genre - many genres fall under Subgiant. The band consist of three dedicated musicians: Olly Maw on Bass and Keyboards Tushar Joshi on Drums and Percussion Dan Hayes on Turntables and Samplers
