Velvet Razor consists of Dave Kent -Vocals and Guitar, Will Kent - Vocals and Bass Guitar, Jennifer Morton (J-Mo) - Vocals and Piano, Aleem Saleh Vocals and Drums.

The band was started in July 2003 by Dave Kent (Guitarist), Will Kent (Bass Guitarist) and Gavin Cox (Piano/Keyboards) all who have gigged extensively with other bands.

They decided to form an originals rock band. The band goal were as follows:

1. To write catchy songs, with good lyrics and hooks in the classic rock style harking back to the likes of "Led Zeppelin", "Pink Floyd", "Genesis",“Peter Gabriel”, "The Cult" and "Marillion" with the caveat of not actually sounding like a carbon-copy cover band of any of the above mentioned acts.

2. Incorporating many diverse musical styles.

3. Intelligent employment of dynamics to capture soft subtleties up to screaming thunder.

4. We put ourselves in the Neo-progressive/Heavy rock genre.

We have three demos on our website, but because our styles are so diverse this only gives a hint of what we do.
