The Love Brigade are a unique and colourful, rose-ripping, lolly-popping, go-go dancing 9-piece performance-orientated band. They combine some of the finer moments of indie-pop, new wave and psychedelia with elements of art (think Andy Warhol’s Exploding Plastic Inevitable crashed by the Pixies). If their antics on stage do not entrance and entertain then you will be swept along by the uplifting harmonies, idiosyncratic lyrics and infectious hooks of the music.

Comprised of eight lecturers and one student, The Love Brigade (formed in September 2004), have experienced an almost meteoric rise since their debut in December 2004. The Love Brigade have now played 11 gigs, including London venues and recently opened Strawberry Fair, to much critical acclaim. They have also been asked to play with Russian band, Blast, and will be flying out to ‘share the love’ in Moscow in September.
