Punk Rock three piece getAmped, release their new single ‘Tyrannosaurus’ on 6 th June and the surfing fanatics are already on board with the original cult surf company Rip Curl.

Rip Curl work worldwide in extreme sports events and sponsoring surfers and other extreme sportsmen/women. They sponsor Bethany Hamilton (who lost her arm to a shark in 03) and also Tom Curren 3 times world champion surfer but GetAmped are the first UK band to be sponsored and the only band outside of Australia to be sponsored by Rip Curl.

getAmped band are currently touring the UK and racking up national TV and radio play. They are also currently being played across the USA in Pacific Sun wear Stores. There are 990 stores across the USA in which getAmped are receiving major coverage. Pacific Sun Wear stores join a list of other shops in which getAmped music is played in the USA . getAmped also receive extensive play on Fox television and have been featured on a number of extreme videos - promotions which have already led to major label interest for the band who are currently in a development deal with indie StrongLIkeBull Records; a fitting label for a band who have also recently been asked to provide music for soft drink giant Red Bull’s marketing music library!

Aside from a heavy addiction to playing live, getAmped are nurturing their love for getting their music out there in every way possible by agreeing to have their music featured on ‘Big Mutha Truckers’ Computer game this summer, (the last edition sold over 1,000,000 copies) and by employing a team of independent music promoters, dedicated to breaking new music.

getAmped are currently promoting their first single of the year. Tyrannosaurus is due to be released on the 23 rd May with the profits being donated to Surfers Against Sewage and Boarding for Breast Cancer. It has so far been play listed on Total Rock and Power FM, with spot plays on Ian Camfields show at XFM and Mike Davies ‘The Lock Up’, Jo Whiley has it in her box for spots and loves the surfing angle. getAmped will be aiming to give away a surf board on her show in the near future. Tim has been interviewed for Vernon Kay and Jo Whiley on surfing in the UK . Scuzz are soon to run a competition where the single is played every hour and the winner will receive a day surfing with the band. Kerrang! radio is spotting it regularly and digital radio station Storm recently played the single on their rock or not section giving it 25-30 plays in one week.

A recent high-energy showcase at the Mean Fiddler impressed a full house plus a number of industry representatives. getAmped then left promptly to tour China and are currently playing to over 2000 people a show. The band are soon to embark on another UK tour.

Recent coverage in Music Week saw the band tipped as one of the best new acts in the southwest, an accolade they will be looking to build on in the coming months.
