The current line up was formed in early 2000 after Simon and Michelle met on a beach, under Brighton Pier. The true sound that was to become Whitestar came together when they met Lee (Keyboards) and Gareth (Drums). Their mutual aim is to bring melody and imagination back to the forefront of music.

Whitestar have that rare mix of sparkling melodies accompanied by heartfelt meaningful lyrics, with a dangerous edge that pulls you back time and time again. Their sound mixes the bittersweet songs of Simon with edgy guitars and swooning baselines, underpinned by dynamic drumming and swirling keyboards.

Their rock sensibilities point to groups such as the Verve, The Doors, and BRMC, with enough originality to leave you wanting more!

The band has played various festivals and prestigious gigs all over London.
This last year their popularity has soared and they are regularly being asked back to play popular venues such as The Hope & Anchor, The Garage, and The Buffalo Bar.

The band have independently recorded and produced their own album 'Eskimo Moon', which is available now. With growing interest from press and radio these are exciting times for the band so watch this space.
