Artist: The United Stoats of America
Genre: Stoat Rock
Performing: 17th July 2004 / The Uncut Aladdin's Cave Stage
Website Address: []

The Stoats, united against the pre-packaged, musical pap that infiltrates our lives from both sides of the Atlantic, set about forming a band. They started mixing a hugely contrasting selection of musical styles into something known as skiffled up, stoat-tastic, lo-fi, car-boot, rustic, stomp-a-billy. This magnificent seven piece tea set with a musical pedigree as long as it is wide, arrive at The Guilfest fresh from The Mean Fiddler Country Punk Extravaganza. Born in the Memphis swamps of East Surrey, they are hell bent on bringing unpretentious proper music back to the people.
