In the 21st Century - they came for you Often misspelt and usually misunderstood, Rococo were one of London's top rock bands in the 1970s, and only now, in the 21st Century, can much of their music be made available.

They frequently broke attendance records at The Marquee Club in London's Wardour Street and at renowned pub-rock venues, topped the bill at the Windsor Free Festival, but also worked for Chrysalis, which led them to support Ten Years After at London's Rainbow Theatre.

The five-piece built up a devoted following and featured IAN RAINES on lead vocals, ROY SHIPSTON (keyboards and vocals), ROD HALLING (guitar/backing vocals), CLIVE EDWARDS (drums) and JOHN 'RHINO' EDWARDS on bass guitar.

Rococo re-formed last year, have been performing at venues in the UK, and are selling CDs via their website - http://www.rococo.ws - plus CDbaby in the US and a Scandanavian site, missingpiece.net. They have started work on a new album.

In the interim years, drummer CLIVE EDWARDS performed with The PAT TRAVERS BAND, PHIL LYNOTT, WILD HORSES, UFO, ULI JOHN ROTH and MEDICINE HEAD.
Keyboard player/singer ROY SHIPSTON has appeared with the likes of PETER GREEN, CHRIS THOMPSON, MICKEY MOODY (Whitesnake) and CARL PALMER.
Completing the line-up is guitarist/vocalist ROD HALLING, who has worked with SUPERTRAMP, among others, and lead singer-bassist IAN RAINES, who has performed and recorded with a host of artists. The only difference from the original line-up is that John "Rhino" Edwards is now with Status Quo.

In the early 1990s, Shipston and Halling bought The Mill Recording Studios in Cookham, Berkshire, from Jimmy Page. They won production awards for the work they did there and it was used by ELTON JOHN, GEORGE HARRISON, CHRIS REA, CLANNAD and many .

Now Rococo's first two albums - "The Living Rock" and "Hoodlum Fun" - are at last available on CD, on Flopidiscs and the band is looking forward to playing in Guildford for the first time in more than 25 years…
