Riotous Brothers is the culmination of four men's lives in rhythm & blues.

Riotous Brothers are Mash Sonnet on lead guitar and vocals, Paul Long on keyboards, rhythm guitar & vocals, Martin Ayling on bass and Dirk Maggs on drums & vocals.

Dirk and Paul first played together in 1984, while Dirk, Mash and Martin first teamed up in a band called Ten Point Five in the late eighties. Through the nineties Dirk & Mash were the mainstays of Portsmouth r&b band The Red Hot Pokers. Paul often strayed across their path, producing their album and recording sessions and supporting them with his outfit, 29 Ways.

Following the demise of the Pokers and Paul's band The Big Something, the natural thing to do was to put all this blues power together under one roof and the Riotous Brothers were born in 2003.

Riotous Brothers have now been playing regularly around the South coast for the last year to enthusiastic crowds, and have two major outdoor appearances over the summer, at the BBC White City Summer Festival on June 25th and Guilfest on July 18th.
